Illinois State Police were on the scene of a police shooting Thursday morning on Harlem Avenue over Interstate 290.
State police closed interstate ramps at that location about 7 a.m. as authorities investigated a shooting involving police, according to a trooper at state police’s Chicago office.
Details about the shooting haven’t been released, and a spokeswoman for state police did not immediately provide further information.
It was unclear which police agency was involved in the shooting. Oak Park and Forest Park police could be seen at the scene of the shooting, media reports showed.
Representatives for each police department did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
