SALINAS — Salinas City Manager Steve Carrigan has announced face coverings will be mandatory inside all indoor city facilities for staff and visitors beginning Monday.
Face coverings will be required until further notice, according to a release sent out Friday.
City officials said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution and concern for the COVID-19 Delta variant and other virus variants and to protect staff and the public while indoors at city offices and publicity accessible facilities.
The city, if necessary, will supply free coverings to members of the public conducting business, officials said.
