The prominent Kremlin critic, who survived a nerve-agent poisoning last summer, said officials won’t allow his doctor to visit him behind bars and that he’s undergoing “sleep deprivation torture” because a guard wakes him up every hour at night. In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Navalny said he had no choice but start a hunger strike because his health is deteriorating.
