Among the items visitors come to see is the Air Force One plane on which the president traveled, a replica of the Oval Office he occupied for eight years and a piece of the Berlin Wall, which Reagan called for Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down during the second of the Illinois native’s two terms in office, ending in 1989. The wall finally tumbled in 1991.
