The following editorial is written by a retired police officer and current staff writer for Law Enforcement Today
AMERICA- “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
Endowed by their creator. What makes our founding documents different than any others in the world is that they were based upon natural law, or more specifically God’s law.
The Declaration of Independence, which was the basis for the founding of the United States of America rightly noted that our rights are derived from our CREATOR…Christians call him God, some refer to him as a Higher Power.
Whatever you call our Creator, these biblical principles formed the basis of our founding documents, and the United States Constitution enumerates these God-given rights.
For 244 years, this was the basis under which we lived.
I read an article in The Published Reporter and on the day before the most important election of our lifetime, I thought it appropriate to share the ideas expressed by the writer, Kari Lee Fournier, as well as some of my own.
My country, which I have called home for over 62 years was undergoing smooth sailing. Oh, we had some issues for sure. The divide between left and right has never been wider. We had a president who you either loved or you hated. There was seemingly no middle ground.
But with that said, the economy was on fire, the stock market at record highs, unemployment across the board at historic lows, America was energy independent. There was a lot to like.
Overnight it seems, the world changed. From an unknown place called Wuhan, China, a pandemic was released on the world. Hardly any country in the world was spared.
Our country was hit hard and instead of people pulling together to defeat the pandemic and continue on our upward trajectory, people chose to take sides. Those on the left and progressives saw it as an opportunity to use the pandemic to their political advantage. And did they ever.
The United States of America was the brightest beacon in the world, and one had to believe that the success of our country, which has been able to fend off enemies far and wide who were intent on destroying it had some kind of divine overseer. After all, when our country was formed, it was done with a commitment to biblical principles.
So, who (or what) could possibly intervene to make the US fail, to destroy our way of life?
For those who believe in God and who believe that the Bible is the very word of God, the times we have entered serves as a warning. Something or someone not of this earth has their hands in what is going on. That “something” is Satan himself. And sadly, Satan has some willing accomplices who are eagerly doing his dirty work.
We have seen the handy work of this creature before, although not so close to home. Oh, we’ve had touches of it such as when our homeland was attacked on September 11, 2001. It was only through the will and determination of the American people that we did not let that destroy us as a nation. In fact, for a time, we came back even stronger.
But now, Satan has seen an opportunity and he is going at it full-speed ahead. You see, Satan knows that the United States has been the beacon of what is good and right for nearly 250 years. And he knows it is because of the principles of our founding that we achieved that status.
Because the Declaration said that our rights are granted by God himself—and not from man—this goes against what Satan wants. Because he knows that men are weak and he has put plans in place through the media, through education, and through politics to put his plain in motion.
What is Satan using? Well for one, he is using principles such as Marxism, Socialism, Communism to further his plans. We have been fighting against this ideology for a long time, over 100 years. We were able to hold it at bay for a time after World War II, however Satan is not easily defeated. He “regrouped and changed his tactics.”
Socialists and Communists attempted back in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s to gain compliance through fear. They engaged in bombings and murder, targeting law enforcement officials and judges.
At one point in time, there were up to five bombings per day, with 1,900 buildings being bombed in 1971, with an additional 600 in 1972. A lot of this was under the guise of opposition to the Vietnam War which made sense, since America was trying to hold back communism in that country.
After those efforts failed, the Marxist/Communists changed tactics. They engaged in a softer type of warfare, going through media, education, and entertainment.
Back in the 1950’s and 1960’s, most women stayed at home to raise the family. Now, before anyone thinks I’m being sexist, that is not the intent. It’s simply a fact of how things were back then.
There was a saying, “The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world,”—that soon changed and it became vogue that mom needed to get out of the house and work in order to “get by.” Because there was a mantra of buy, buy, buy.
Before credit became a way of life and then became a noose around the neck of millions of people, you didn’t buy something unless you could pay cash. If you wanted to “make payments,” they had something called “layaway” where you could make payments and once you got the item paid off, you took it home.
Now, six- and seven-year loans to buy $30,000 cars are the norm.
The left’s march toward communism actually started back under the term of Franklin D. Roosevelt, where his right-hand man, Alger Hiss, ended up being convicted of perjury in 1950 relative to a Russian spying incident. Apparently, the statute of limitations ran out and he didn’t do any jail time.
In 1963, there was a list of Communist goals called the “Rules of Communism that was gathered by the FBI in the 1940’s and 1950’s and entered into the Congressional record. Following are a few of them:
- Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
- Capture one or both of the political parties of the United States
- Use technical decisions of the court to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
- Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of the teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
- Gain control of all student newspapers [or social media/internet]
- Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
- Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
- Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
- Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
- Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
- Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
- Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural healthy.”
- Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a religious crutch.”
- Eliminate prayer of any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
- Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
- Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
- Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.”
- Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
- Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI
- Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
- Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
- Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies.
- Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
- Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks, and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
- Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political, or social problems.

Recognize any of those? You should. Many of them are contained in the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force recommendations, which has been adopted as the platform for Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.
If they aren’t in the platform, they are a priority for the leftist progressives in the Democratic party, many of whom are in Congress.
According to the article, the most popular book given to college students is “The Communist Manifesto.” Polls have shown that 70% of those 35 years and younger want socialism. Thirty-two percent want Communism. Wonder why? Because they’ve been getting indoctrinated from a young age by our failed public education system.
Then, there is the 1619 Project. If you’re not familiar, teaches that the United State was founded not on July 4, 1776, but in 1619 when the first slaves arrived on the North American continent.
This project vilifies the founding fathers for some being slave holders, which in that day and age was considered “normal.”
That is not to justify the fact that some were slave holders, but that was a different day and age. In fact, nearly every country in the world had slavery at one point or another. It hardly started in the United States.
In 1774, King George III vetoed all anti-slavery laws in America. In fact, that drove Thomas Jefferson to author a clause in the Declaration of Independence which favored ending slavery. By 1800, every northern colony had abolished slavery.
The issue of slavery was a sticky one for the founders, and many recognized that by attempting to immediately end slavery in the United States, it would have been virtually impossible to bring all the states together. All of the southern colonies would have walked away, which would have led to a weakened union. That was the reason that George Washington favored a slower approach to rolling back slavery.
From the ratification of the Bill of Rights in 1791 until 1808, the slave trade lasted only 17 years in the United States of America. In order to end slavery completely, over 800,000 Americans would die in the Civil War. To insinuate that America is a systemically racist country is a disservice to those brave men and women who lost their lives to free slaves.
In colleges, students have been taught to hate America. Look at the riots that have taken place across our country. There have been a large number of college educators who have been arrested for rioting, looting, assaulting police officers, burning buildings. Some have openly asked for the murder of police officers.
Sadly, these students don’t even realize they are being used as “useful idiots.” Vladimir Lenin used to teach about America:
“…Then we shall encircle the last bastion of capitalism, the United States of America. We shall not have to attack; it will fall like overripe fruit into our hands.”
Marxist/Communists have also taken over entertainment and media. Fournier notes that only six corporations control all of the news and information in the country; General Electric, Viacom, Newscorp, Disney, CBS, and Time Warner. Then you have the big three social media companies; Twitter, Facebook, and Google. Anything that falls outside of the narrative is routinely censored or throttled, and that narrative usually involves the progressive and Democratic agenda.
Look at what Satan has accomplished with the coronavirus? Power-hungry governors, who have violated circumvented the legislative process by issuing draconian executive orders are running out of control.
They have convinced a large percentage of the American people to sacrifice their God-given rights and their constitutional rights for “safety and security.” They make it up as they go along, issuing one ridiculous executive order after another.
They have made it so neighbors are turning in neighbors for having people over the house if it exceeds a random number that some bureaucrat made up. “Mask police” are out in stores, gas stations, parks and playgrounds, lecturing people for not wearing masks. This is 2020 America.
Fear. We are beaten over the head with it daily on television, radio, social media. And where is that fear coming from? The evil one clearly. He has seen an opportunity and he is all in. While obviously people need to use caution and care for their neighbor, at some point in time people need to be allowed to live their lives.
Suicides are up. Domestic violence and child abuse are up. Businesses are shutting down. This is the first time in history where healthy people have been forced to lock down, not the sick. This is not sustainable.
Satan wants everything shut down until our country is broken. We’ve already been dealing with this for over eight months. As time goes on, people are literally losing their marbles. Many of the businesses which have been forced to close will never reopen. Where will those people work? This is what Satan wants. Mayhem. And it’s coming, sooner than any of us realize if something doesn’t break, and soon.
According to Ephesians 6:12- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
This is a time when we need to turn to God more than ever. Satan has his soldiers out there trying to put the final nail in the coffin of the United States of America. Those soldiers go by the name of Ocasio-Cortez, Sanders, Tlaib, Omar, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, and Biden.
Not to be overly dramatic, but the only one standing between us and Satan accomplishing his final goal is one Donald J. Trump. This is not to overstate it, but look at what Satan has thrown at President Trump over the past four years, because HE knows that the man standing between him and his goal is the president. Mueller investigation, impeachment, and finally COVID-19. All meant to derail this man, who was cruising toward an overwhelming election victory until last winter.
Be aware of Satan’s plan. Be aware of what the socialist/Marxist/progressives are trying to do.
Educate yourself. Get in the Word. Pray to our Father. Pray for our country.
