Beatty and Rogers were on the way to the House floor for votes when she asked him, Beatty said on Twitter. He poked her back and told her to get on the train, Beatty said. When she asked him to not touch her, he answered with the profane phrase.

Rogers told Manu Raju, a chief congressional correspondent for CNN, that he apologized to Beatty, saying “my words were not acceptable.”
