On Monday, a group of Washington, D.C., inmates filed a lawsuit against the district’s Department of Corrections, asking for soap and cleaning supplies amid the coronavirus pandemic. According to the suit, inmates have been provided only one bar of soap in the month of March, have had no access to hand sanitizer, are prohibited from acquiring more cleaning supplies, and are put in danger by poor hygiene protocols at the facility.
