At mosques and government institutions, spaces were spread out to provide more distance between congregants.
Elsewhere, Japan is still preparing for the 2020 Summer Games. The Olympic flame arrived from Greece with much fanfare while in Russia a piano concert by Denis Matsuyev was set to be broadcast in a nearly empty concert hall. Performers are turning to streaming to connect with fans during the crisis. In Rome though, people in quarantine had a free concert from opera singer Laura Baldassari who sang outside her balcony.
