Coronavirus deaths in Italy and Spain continue to be in the hundreds each day as the Covid-19 virus spreads across the globe.
Italy announced 651 dead in one day, bringing its total to 5,476. The hardest-hit Lombardy region had 3,456 deaths as of Sunday.Spain announced 391 new deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,720. Spain deaths rose by 30 percent, its largest single-day increase.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., there are over 400 deaths. New York remains the hardest hit with over 15,000 cases and 114 deaths, followed by Washington state with 95 and 32 in California.
Globally, more than 335,000 people have contracted the novel coronavirus and at least 14,641 have died.
