An off-duty probation officer was busted for choking an NYPD cop who tried to arrest her adult son for shoplifting in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, authorities said.
The 26-year-old son of 47-year-old probation officer Swan Williams had stolen beer from a deli and then ran into his nearby home, where police attempted to arrest him, cops said.
Williams put her hands on one of the two cops who showed up at the home and choked him, police said.
She was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer and four counts of obstructing governmental administration, authorities said.
Police would not say exactly where the incident occurred, but Williams was arrested in the confines of the 69th Precinct, which covers Canarsie.
The status of her son was unclear Thursday morning. Cops had no information indicating that he was arrested.
