An NYPD officer opened fire on a driver who struck another cop with his car during a traffic stop in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police said.

The driver of a black Acura MDX reversed into one of the officers during the stop on Eastern Parkway and Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville at about 10:40 p.m., authorities said.

After the collision, the other officer fired one round, which did not strike anyone, according to police.

The officer who was run into was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, police said. The second officer was uninjured.

Police said they were still searching for the suspect early Thursday morning.
