National pharmacy chains wasted more than 1 million doses each, NBC News reported, citing data it obtained from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) after a public records request. Walgreens, with 2.6 million doses trashed, was the biggest waster, NBC News said, followed closely by CVS with 2.3 million.
