Workers at JFK Airport can now get tested for the coronavirus on-site — at the first airport COVID-19 clinic in the nation, the Port Authority announced Monday.

The testing center at Terminal 4 has nine individual testing rooms and will be able to perform up to 500 virus and antibody tests per day, Port Authority officials said.

“Safety and security are the Port Authority’s top priorities, and opening the new XpresCheck COVID-19 pilot program builds on measures the agency has taken to protect travelers and airport workers across the region,” said Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton, who himself tested positive for the virus at the outset of the pandemic.

Airport concessionaire XpresSpa built the new facility, which will open with access limited to airline and airport employees.

New York-area passenger levels were down 92 percent earlier this month compared to the same time last year, Port officials said last week.
