Impeachment leaders Schiff, Pelosi demand 9/11 type commission to investigate coronavirus response

Impeachment leaders Schiff, Pelosi demand 9/11 type commission to investigate coronavirus response 1

WASHINGTON, D.C.- He’s baaaaackk!!! Adam Schiff [for brains] wants a new investigation. He is now calling for a “nonpartisan” commission on the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mind you, Schiff is the chairman of the House intelligence committee. First of all, putting Schiff and intelligence in the same sentence is a stretch of epic proportions. Secondly, why now?

Obsession- the state of being obsessed with someone or something; an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person’s mind. Obsession, meet Adam Schiff.

Just a couple of short months ago, while Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, and Jerry Nadler were on their obsessive witch hunt, otherwise known as the impeachment hoax, President Trump was focusing on another threat to our country—COVID-19.

 Let us take the wayback machine to January to check the timeline of the coronavirus compared to what Democrats were focused on:

January 11, 2020- Chinese state media report the first known death from an illness originating in the Wuhan market;

January 15, 2020- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) holds a vote to send articles of impeachment to the Senate; the “solemn” occasion is marked in a signing ceremony by the issuing of commemorative pens, while a beaming Pelosi signs the articles;

January 21, 2020- The first person with coronavirus arrives in the United States from China, where he had been in Wuhan;

January 23, 2020- The House impeachment managers make their opening statements for the removal of President Trump;

January 23, 2020- China closes off the city of Wuhan completely to slow the spread of Coronavirus to the rest of China;

 January 30, 2020- Senators begin asking two days of questions of both sides in the impeachment trial of President Trump;

January 30, 2020- The World Health Organization declares a global health emergency as coronavirus continues to spread;

January 31, 2020- The senate holds a vote on whether to allow further witnesses and documents in the impeachment trial;

January 31, 2020- President Trump declares a national health emergency and imposes a ban on travel to and from China. Former vice president Joe Biden calls Trump’s decision “hysterical xenophobia…and fear mongering.”

February 2, 2020- The first death from coronavirus outside of China is reported in the Philippines;

February 3, 2020- House impeachment managers begin closing arguments, calling the president a threat to national security;

February 4, 2020- President Trump conducts his State of the Union address, mentioning the coronavirus in the speech; Nancy Pelosi rips up the speech in a very public show of immaturity;

February 5, 2020- The Senate votes to acquit President Trump on both articles of impeachment, 52-48 and 53-47.

February 5, 2020- House Democrats finally decide coronavirus is an important issue and take it up in the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia.

So there you have it. While the Democrats were obsessed with their attempted soft coup of President Trump, led by Adam Schiff, the president was governing.

Just four days after Chinese state media reported the first known death from the virus, Pelosi was focused not on that but on making sure she had her stash of souvenir pens to hand out to a beaming group of congressmen

They then paraded the articles over to the other side of the Capitol to bring them to the Senate. And this COVID-19 response is somehow President Trump’s fault?

In Trump’s state of the union, he addressed the issue in China:

“Protecting Americans’ health also means fighting infectious diseases. We are coordinating with the Chinese government and working closely together on the coronavirus outbreak in China. My administration will take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from this threat.”

Pelosi? She referred to the president’s speech as “a pack of lies.”

So, where are we at now? Schiff’s obsession. Little more than two months removed from the impeachment hoax, Schiff now has his sights set on another issue—same target, different issue—coronavirus.

Schiff said, “After Pearl Harbor and 9/11, we looked at what went wrong to learn from our mistakes,” shifty Schiff said in a tweet. “Once we’ve recovered, we need a nonpartisan commission to review our response and how we can better prepare for the next pandemic,” he said. “I’m working on a bill to do that.”

Republicans jumped on Schiff’s suggestion, with Intelligence Committee Ranking Republican Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) accusing Schiff of a “dumb stunt.”

“His Russia collusion hoax failed, his Ukraine scam failed and his efforts to cover up FISA abuse failed,” Nunes told Fox News. “So, Schiff is launching yet another dumb stunt to justify his never-ending media relations operation.”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) also responded in a statement:

” The same people who delayed the Coronavirus relief bill because they demanded giveaways for special interests and millions for the Kennedy Center now want to create a commission to attack the Trump Administration’s response? Give me a break. And the person who is leading this effort is Adam Schiff—the same Adam Schiff who released the phone records of the President’s personal attorney, a journalist and a sitting Member of Congress. WE should focus on stopping the virus, not politicizing the crisis.”

Under Schiff, the poorly-named intelligence committee has undertaken numerous probes focused on the president, including the failed House impeachment inquiry and the fake Russian collusion story about influence on the 2016 election, as well as the president’s financial transactions and so on.

In his tweet, Schiff also shared an opinion piece from the left-wing Washington Post, written by David Ignatius which is titled “The U.S. needs to know what went wrong.”

We can tell you Ignatius—the Democrats were on their obsessive soft coup attempt on President Trump.

The column states that Schiff and his staff have “already started” working on a commission similar to the one crated after 9/11 and will be “talking about the possibility with others in Congress.”

It also states that Schiff “has begun reviewing the committee’s intelligence materials on the pandemic.”

“We will need to delay the work of the commission until the crisis has abated to ensure that it does not interfere with the agencies that are leading the response,” Schiff told Ignatius. “But that should not prevent us from beginning to identify where we got it wrong, and how we can be prepared for the next pandemic.”

Honestly, Schiff’s obsession with Trump is bordering on some type of a mental illness. He reminds one of the typical Lifetime movie, when the 40 something year-old man is still obsessed with his high school girlfriend and keeps stalking her until he is finally able to get her.

That’s Schiff. He will keep trying until January 2025 when Trump is finally out of office.

Schiff also posted another tweet on which he commented, “You cannot count on Donald Trump to do what’s right for this country.”

“You can count on him to do what’s right for Donald Trump.” The tweet ironically has a portion of a Trump quote without any context and without the rest of the quote. This is typical for the left. Grab a sound bite without context or conclusion and run with it as if it is the truth.

Leftists are pathetic. And Schiff is the worst among a number of them.
