A popular Jersey shore nightclub will not open for the 2020 summer season thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, management announced Sunday night.

The Osprey nightclub, a summertime staple in Manasquan, New Jersey broke the “heartbreaking” news in a Facebook post.

“Due to the expected reduction in capacity and the restrictions already in place as to ‘social distancing,’ it is with much regret that the Osprey will not open for the 2020 summer season,” the post read.

Locals and out-of-towners flock to the Osprey during the summer season for drinks, live music and dancing.

Recently, Jersey Shore business owners have expressed growing concerns that if they’re forced to stay closed until June or July — due to Governor Phil Murphy’s executive orders aimed at diminishing the outbreak — they might never reopen again.

The Osprey said the closure would last only for this season.
