Hospital executive fired for saying Trump supporters with coronavirus should die 1

BUFFALO, NY  – Michael Berry at iHeartradio.com dropped a bombshell: I’m completely shocked that a liberal person with a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) was actually punished for their statement or position.

They’re usually lauded in the press and given a parade somewhere in California.

Laura Krolczyk, who is a former staffer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, was the vice president for external affairs at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York.

She was quoted on her Facebook page as saying that Trump supporters should “give up their ventilators and die.”

Conservative commentator Michael Caputo posted screenshots of an exchange between Krolczyk and another top official at the hospital, Lisa LaTrovato.

To reiterate, Krolczyk wrote:

“Trump supporters need to pledge to give up their ventilators for someone else … and not go to the hospital.”

LaTrovato responded by saying:

“I think they should be the only ones in packed churches on Sunday.”

Krolczyk added:

“Also, don’t cash your stimulus check. It’s all a hoax. Chew some ibuprofen and be on with your day.”

The hospital says that LaTrovato has been placed on administrative leave.

Via WGRZ TV in Buffalo, the hospital released this statement:

“This employee was terminated today [Saturday] after our Human Resources team concluded its investigation. We followed standard procedure, which required that we gather and verify relevant information before taking any disciplinary action.

Dr. Johnson and her team responded with swift and appropriate action. We have always been and continue to be a center serving everyone who needs us. That is core to our mission, our culture and the experience our patients and families can expect every day.

This behavior is not tolerated at Roswell Park. If any team members act in a way that does not accord with that commitment, we will take swift and appropriate action, just as we did in this instance.”

The Buffalo News reported on the entire exchange:

The exchange – according to screen grabs posted by Caputo – began when Krolczyk posted a link to an article by the Hill news site about the Trump administration’s reluctance to pay $1 billion to General Motors and Ventec for ventilator production.

Krolczyk shared the article with a comment: ‘Vote Trump.’

LaTrovato responded: ‘But will waste more than that on a wall and space force.’

Krolczyk replied: ‘Trump supporters need to pledge to give up their ventilators for someone else … and not go to the hospital.’

LaTrovato responded:

‘I think they should be the only ones in packed churches on Sunday.’

Krolczyk then said:

‘They should barricade themselves in there and ride this out.’

LaTrovato replied:

‘Yup.’

Later, another Facebook user wrote:

‘Wow, just wow, so you’re saying we decide who lives and dies based on political views? Great plan (thumbs up emoji).’

Krolczyk responsed:

‘That’s literally what he’s saying. Take your “wow” and comprehend what your hero is saying. Your hero is saying YOU don’t need a ventilator. So don’t take one.’

Krolczyk added:

‘Also don’t cash your stimulus check. It’s all a hoax. Chew some ibuprofen and be on with your day.’

Caputo shared the exchanges and urged his 37,000 Twitter followers to raise their concerns directly with the two institutions.

‘Is it your public health policy to assure Trump voters are infected with COVID?’ Caputo asked of the two organizations.”

In a statement, the CEO of Roswell Park, Candace Johnson said the comments were “inappropriate.” She also said:

“They do not reflect the opinions of Roswell Park or its senior leadership.”

This termination is in new and unknown territory.  It is exceptionally rare that a liberal person would ever be held responsible for attacking conservatives, and even the president.

Liberal activists are prevalent in our business world, Hollywood, and our educational system, and this termination surely marks a newfound respect and dignity offered and expected of alleged professionals.

I don’t think it will happen soon, but I look forward to the day when liberals are held to the same standards as conservatives when it comes to speech and political fairness.
