Among the tens of thousands of fans who were in attendance, countless celebrities were also spotted in the crowd. Whether they were sitting front row like Kanye West or in box seats like Alessandra Ambrosio, they were able to enjoy the game at any angle.

However, when celebrating America’s most popular game during a worldwide pandemic, comes some rules and regulations to help keep everyone as safe as possible. According to the official NFL website, all football fans that were attending the big game were required to show their vaccination card or a negative test at least 48 hours prior. Or, if tested via a rapid test, they had to show results 24 hours prior. Fans were also required to follow the Los Angeles mask mandates by wearing a face covering while in the stadium — except while indulging in food or drink. All ticket holders were required to show I.D. as well.

California will be lifting their mask mandate for some places on February 15th.

Here are 5 celebrities that weren’t wearing masks at the Super Bowl, despite the mandate put in place.

In a viral tweet liked over 38,000 times, @AndrewHClark tweeted about celebrities not wearing masks.

@LdyDi69 wrote, “None of them stood in line with a crowd. All of them are vaccinated & get tested frequently for work. They don’t sit in the cheaper, smaller more crowded areas. They are not public servants or doctors. They are not who decides what is scientifically safe. Still should be masked.”

In a quote tweet, @SusanDarraj stated, “I don’t depend on celebrities to guide me re: my politics or my health/medical decisions. We will continue masking until the medical community says it’s safe.”

In another tweet, @bubblebathgirl chimed in saying, “Why did LeBron James, Charlize Theron, J Lo, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Ellen all go maskless at the Super Bowl on Sunday — yet they insist our kids should wear masks at school?”

In response, @gary_kline added, “Maybe because that venue was screened for attendees to be fully vaccinated and passed a COVID19 test? A child’s school setting is an entirely different venue as well. I can’t fathom how you equate the two.”
