Hays was one of several officers involved in the attack against Luther, who was left with a concussion, rotator cuff tear, a hole in the lip that required sutures, a bruised tail bone and other injuries. His co-worker, Bailey Coletta was also sentenced to to three years of probation, which includes two consecutive weekends in jail, 200 hours of community service, drug testing and counseling. The 26-year-old also pleaded guilty in 2019, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
