Statewide, 1,998 people in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Sunday night, with 418 patients in intensive care units and 177 patients on ventilators. The seven-day average of total hospitalizations is 1,804, the highest since an average of 1,825 was recorded Feb. 16.
