Television networks and streaming services continue to respond to the coronavirus crisis with special programming aimed at breaking down the most recent developments and the important issues for viewers.
Here’s the latest:
Airing tonight is “CNN Global Town Hall: Coronavirus, Facts and Fears” (8 p.m. April 23, CNN).
Once again hosted by Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, this marks the eighth such program CNN has aired since the pandemic took hold in the United States.
Tonight’s special guests will include FDA Commissioner and White House Task Force member Dr. Stephen Hahn, NYC Governor Andrew Cuomo, Lisa Ling, Andrew Yang and chef Jose Andres.
In addition, Alicia Keys will join the informative, two-hour special and deliver the world premiere of her song “Good Job.” The song is dedicated to the everyday heroes of the coronavirus crisis.
CNN will also include the song as part of a new “CNN Heroes” campaign. The track will be released via RCA records and available on all digital platforms on Thursday, April 23
— Airing on Sunday is “America Together” (10 p.m. April 26, Fox News Channel), a program featuring “uplifting and inspirational stories of perseverance” during the pandemic.
Hosted by “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Pete Hegseth, the hourlong program will feature many of the network’s personalities — including Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo, Harris Faulkner, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, Ed Henry, Jesse Watters, Johnny Joey Jones and Rachel Campos Duffy — as they share stories of Americans coming together during these uncertain times.
