Authors Kami Garcia, Brian Michael Bendis, Gwenda Bond, Sam Humphries and Phil Jimenez coordinated the campaign. The benefit ran on social media from April 15 through 20 and saw more than 635 auctions of everything from signed books to original artwork, with proceeds donated to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation, a support organization for independent booksellers, where it is already benefiting U.S. comic book retailers under the auspices of the Comicbook United Fund, a new fund created specifically in response to COVID-19.
