The Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame released its 58th class Tuesday, with championship football (Mike Griebel and Mike O’Dwyer), basketball (Jeff Kloster and Carl Krug) and tennis coaches (Dave Adams) getting selected.

Griebel, currently Thomas Jefferson’s head football coach, won state crowns with both Heritage (2009) and TJ (spring 2021), while O’Dwyer is responsible for six of Limon’s 20 state football championships. O’Dwyer’s teams also won a state record 50 consecutive games and three of the last four Class 1A titles.

Kloster has led the Longmont boys basketball program for 27 years, qualifying for state each season he’s served as head coach with one state title (2018) and four runner-up finishes. Krug went 176-72 as head coach of the Mitchell girls basketball team, then moved over to Doherty and guided the Spartans to a 223-32 overall record with state crowns in 1992 and ’95 and a runner-up finish in ’93.

Adams has turned the Cheyenne Mountain tennis programs into a Class 4A force over three-plus decades, winning 18 team state titles with the boys and 11 team state titles with the girls.
