The national campaign aims to promote the “best science,” particularly to marginalized communities hit hardest by the pandemic and which often have fallen behind in healthcare treatment, the collaboration said at the time. A scientific advisory committee was formed with representatives from Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, Morehouse School of Medicine, the American Public Health Association, Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, CDC Foundation, NAACP, National Association of County and City Health Officials, National Governors Association (NGA) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
