A source confirmed Thursday that outside linebacker Von Miller recently tested positive for COVID-19.
NFL Network first reported the news.
On Wednesday, Fox Sports reported that Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen was the first known NFL player to test positive.
During a conference call with the Denver media last week, Miller said he was in training in San Francisco until shelter-at-home guidelines in California ended his workouts and sent him back to the Denver area.
Miller is the first Broncos player to announce a positive test. Three Avalanche players, all unidentified, had positive tests over the last month.
The Broncos were scheduled to start their voluntary offseason program on April 20 (Monday), but the league has shuttered the doors of each NFL facility because of the pandemic.
