OAKLAND – The California Highway Patrol is reporting significant delays on the Bay Bridge due to a demonstration for Breonna Taylor.
A social media post urged motorists to drive slowly across the Bay, Golden Gate and Dumbarton bridges. The demonstration comes a day after a Kentucky grand jury declined to indict any officers for their role in the March shooting death of Taylor.
As of 8:20 p.m., both directions of the Bay Bridge were affected, according to 511.org. The WestCAT Lynx bus has also been canceled for the remainder of the evening.
“Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area,” said 511.org in a critical alert.
