Another news anchor caught breaking quarantine after being
diagnosed with virus 1

NEW YORK- And they wonder why they’re called fake news.

First, we had Chris Cuomo of CNN allegedly leaving quarantine in his basement for the first time in weeks, while it was widely reported last week he was at his under-construction new home in the Hamptons.

Then, we have ABC’s Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos, allegedly diagnosed with COVID-19 out and about, sans mask going to run errands. What a couple of frauds.

Let’s address Cuomo first. He is the ultimate fraud.

Law Enforcement Today reported last week that Cuomo had gotten into a much-publicized dispute at his property in The Hamptons a week and a half ago when he was spotted out despite having been diagnosed with COVID-19 and when he was supposed to be under a 14-day quarantine.

In fact, Cuomo admitted as much on his radio show on Sirius/XM.

If one wants a good laugh, all you have to do is go to the NBC-4 website, which published a glowing story about Cuomo, with the byline reading, “After spending weeks quarantined in his basement (emphasis added) fighting the coronavirus, the journalist has reunited with his family.”

Yes, reunited with his family, who was WITH him last week in The Hamptons.

“Chris Cuomo is a free man” the story starts off.

“After spending weeks quarantined in his basement fighting the coronavirus, the journalist has reunited with his family. Cuomo, who continued broadcasting his nightly CNN show despite the illness, documented the moment in a must-see video shared to his Instagram on Monday.”

Talk about vomit-inducing BS.

Not happy to just ignore the obviously orchestrated and non-factual story at that, Cuomo narrated the video.

“The official reentry from the basement,” Cuomo said, walking up the stairs triumphantly, saying that he’d been “cleared” by the CDC. “This is what I’ve been dreaming of. Literally for weeks.”

He actually said it with a straight face. Kudos there Chris. Maybe you should have been an actor. Actually come to think of it, you already are.

Cuomo also said that his wife Christina had been cleared to come out of isolation after she had also been tested positive with COVID-19.

However, according to the biker who Cuomo accosted at his property in The Hamptons last week, Cuomo’s wife was WITH him at the time of the incident. Still, Cuomo had to note, for dramatic affect no doubt, that she too had been cleared by the CDC.

“My wife was cleared by the CDC. She doesn’t have a fever, she doesn’t have the symptoms anymore and [it’s been] more than seven days in her quarantine.”

Wait, isn’t the quarantine period supposed to be fourteen days? Or is that only for the little people, not “important” people like Cuomo and his wife.

The “cleared by the CDC” language is a bit confusing because Cuomo makes it appear that he and his wife were “personally” cleared by the CDC to leave their quarantine.

However, the CDC website makes no indication that they personally clear people to leave quarantine, and only provide guidelines on their website for disposition of quarantine requirements.

Now, let’s look at Stephanopoulos. Another one of the “beautiful people” who calls the Hamptons home. And another hypocrite.

Last month, Stephanopoulos’ wife Ali Wentworth was diagnosed with the coronavirus. Despite her diagnosis and CDC recommendations, Stephanopoulos had reportedly been seen out in public, which irked residents of the area.

Now, Stephanopoulos has been diagnosed with the coronavirus, however this past Monday afternoon, he was seen in East Hampton walking along the street, talking on a cellphone while he had a mask on…hanging around his neck.

According to PageSix, a witness aid that Stephanopoulos was “seen leaving his Hamptons home in a pair of shorts and walking for about a mile along East Hampton lanes, with his mask down the entire time.”

According to the witness, “For somebody who reports on the pandemic every day, and is broadcasting guidelines about safe social distancing, George didn’t really seem to care.”

“He was on his own, walking through the lanes and past East Hampton Guild Hall, on his cellphone the whole time, yakking with his mask around his neck.

“He tested positive, his wife tested positive, why can’t he follow the local mandates to wear a mask in public, why can’t he just stay home?”

The East Hampton website says that there was a mandate to wear masks in public by the town already in place when Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order ordering everyone to wear a face covering on April 17.

Stephanopoulos had already drawn criticism by a Hamptons resident for not following social distancing guidelines.

On April 10, after his wife had been diagnosed with COVID-19, he was seen in a local pharmacy, and then walking his dog on a private golf course, according to a neighbor named Carrie Doyle.

She wrote on a Facebook post, since deleted, “If you know someone’s wife has corona and the wife has been very sick with it, do you think that the husband should be out at pharmacies picking up prescriptions when the pharmacy delivers and does curbside pickup?”

He had been seen at the pharmacy wearing a mask and gloves, although the pharmacy had been offering delivery service to protect its staff.

Of course, Stephanopoulos had an excuse when he was questioned by the New York Times about his venturing out:

“I was staying home, I was self-monitoring, I never had a temperature and I never had any of the classic symptoms,” he said. “I was wearing a mask and gloves in White’s (Apothecary).”

The day after on April 11, Stephanopoulos was tested at an urgent care facility, and afterward walked on the golf course located near his home.

“I was carrying a mask,” Stephanopoulos said. “I was nowhere near any people.” He later learned that he had tested positive, and announced his diagnosis on Good Morning America on April 13. In so doing, he said that he has been “basically asymptomatic,” unlike his wife who went through “pure misery.”

On Tuesday, Stephanopoulos said that he had been “cleared” of COVID-19.

“Good news for me and my family. Last week I tested positive for Covid antibodies, confirming I cleared the virus after weeks without symptoms,” he said in a tweet.

That’s good news for Stephanopoulos. Too bad he didn’t put his money where his mouth is and follow the rules. It looks like rules are only for the peasants.
