Sweet Simplicity, which just celebrated its one year anniversary in Massapequa, is still keeping it sweet and simple: offering casual clothing, shoes and small décor.
“It’s just effortless, simple style for the everyday woman,” says Stacie Tranchina, who owns the shop with fellow Massapequa mom, Lori Davis.
Moderately priced jewelry pieces to help re-fresh an outfit include Little Words Project bracelets with “Be Strong,” “Warrior,” “Thankful” and other inspirational messages.
In the home décor department, there are candles, scents and diffusers from Sweet Water Décor and little design accents, such as small picture frames, signs, mugs and vases.
The shop also carries vegan leather messenger and camera bags with detachable straps that can be swapped out with new straps that come in twice a month.
“It’s mix and match, refresh your bag without replacing the entire bag,” says Tranchina.
Bestselling lines include Spanks and Articles of Society women’s clothing and Shu Shop shoes. For leisure wear, there are a variety of hoodies and leggings to choose from and belts, hats and scarves to accessorize.
This fall, Sweet Simplicity is carrying lots of stylish jackets and mom jeans – a throwback from the ‘90s, says Tranchina.
“They’re just higher waisted and a little bit more of a relaxed fit,” she explains.
Customers have called Sweet Simplicity, “a bright and inviting store,” notes Tranchina. “It’s kind of a personal shopping atmosphere. We’re a little smaller, so we can give everybody a little more attention – if they want it.”
Prices range from $18 for small accessories/home décor to $88 for leather bags. Sweet Simplicity Boutique is located at 9 Central Ave., Massapequa, and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; 516-882-4410, shopsweetsimplicity.com.
