Cisneros filed a federal lawsuit in September alleging that Minneapolis police officers fired without provocation or warning, then left her there without helping. The Augsburg University student said she and her partner, Ricardo Ramos Jr., encountered three officers, one of whom shined a flashlight at them and another who fired at her face, according to the lawsuit obtained by the Star Tribune at the time. Her original suit sought $5.5 million in damages.
