Supporters of President Donald Trump purposely stood on a Black Lives Matter mural during a “Stop the Steal” protest after being instructed by a prominent white nationalist.

A few dozen protesters took the streets of Lansing, Michigan, on Wednesday to show support for Trump and his refuted claims that the election has been “stolen” by the Democrats amid wide scale voter fraud which the administration has failed to provide any meaningful evidence for.

The protest was documented by independent reporter Brendan Gutenschwager, who posted videos of the men in red MAGA hats taking part in the rally lead by Nick Fuentes.

In the past Fuentes, a far-right presenter of the America First podcast, has said segregation “was better” for Black people and that the First Amendment was “not written for Muslims.”

One clip posted onto Twitter by Gutenschwager shows the protesters walking through Lansing before coming across a Black Lives Matter mural across the road.

Fuentes then tells the men “spread out over the mural, we’re making a statement,” which is followed by cheers and laughter from the Trump supporters.

The crowd were also seen chanting “BLM sucks” and “10 more years” as they made their way around the Capitol in Lansing.

Elsewhere, a female Black Lives Matter activist identified only as Renee is filmed approaching the Trump supporters on the steps of the Capitol.

After suggesting to the group that “when a woman of color is speaking, ya’ll should listen,” the men start booing and laughing at her, with Fuentes adding “the opposite of what you just said is true.”

After Renee explains to the protesters that Joe Biden won the election over Trump, the men start chanting “we won” repeatedly.

There were no reports of any violence or major incidents as a result of the small demonstration.

A larger “Stop the Steal” protest is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, November 14, along with the far-right “Million MAGA March” which expected to be attended by Proud Boys supporters.

Earlier this week, event-organizing website Eventbrite took down a page promoting a “March for Trump” which is also due to take place this Saturday at Freedom Plaza on Saturday.

Eventbrite told the rally organizers that it had taken down the page promoting the march because it was in violation of its terms against “harmful misinformation.”

An Eventbrite page promoting another “Stop the Steal” rally in Lansing on Saturday also appears to have been removed.

In a statement to Newsweek, an Eventbrite spokesperson said: “We encourage people to express their views and gather safely for a chosen purpose, as long as it’s done in a way that doesn’t violate our Terms.

“We prohibit any events, content, or creators that share or promote potentially harmful misinformation and/or contribute to the risk of violence or physical harm. We notified the creators that we removed this event from our platform.”
