Fox’s hit singing competition show has officially unmasked its Season 4 premiere date. The network announced today that the fourth season of The Masked Singer is set to debut next month, and we already have an idea of what characters the competitors will be playing this fall.
New episodes of The Masked Singer are set to premiere Sept. 23 at 8/7c, and we can expect to see a whacky array of costumes worn by the celeb singers. In a teaser for the upcoming season, The Masked Singer gave us a peek at what to expect from its hidden vocalists. In Season 4, we can look forward to hearing some tunes from a truly random assortment of costumes: gremlin, snow owl, crocodile, giraffe, broccoli, popcorn, seahorse, jellyfish and mushroom are just some of the characters we’ll be seeing perform this fall.
While the costumes may change for Season 4, the judges remain the same. Masked Singer panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Nicole Sherzinger are all returning this fall, and host Nick Cannon is also set to resume his spot on the Masked Singer stage. Of course, Fox keeps the Season 4 contestants disguised, but they did drop a few hints in a press release today, which mentioned that in total, this season’s contestants have sold more than 281 million records worldwide, appeared in more than 5,475 TV episodes and 151 films, appeared in five Super Bowls, have four stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and one Time 100 Most Influential persons. Better start guessing now!
Directly following the Season 4 premiere of The Masked Singer will be a new reality singing show, which also features Jeong. Fox announced today that Season 1 of Jeong’s I Can See Your Voice will debut right after The Masked Singer at 9/8c. Jeong is set to host and executive produce the series, which is a music-guessing game show featuring Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton.
