A man who allegedly pointed a gun at Thornton police, drawing fire from officers, and who then disappeared into a neighborhood has been identified.
Police on Saturday said that they are looking for 36-year-old Raymond Michael James Quintana.
Quintana is suspected of fleeing officers Friday morning, pointing a gun at police and stealing a Jeep that was later found. A shelter-in-place order was posted for area residents during the incident and several area schools were placed on heightened security.

Quintana is wanted on warrants for first-degree assault, felony menacing, burglary and motor vehicle theft, police said. Investigators believe he is still in the Denver area.
