An NYCFC player has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report.
The Bronx-based Major League Soccer club said the diagnosis was first made Friday, during pre-game virus testing of the athletes, and confirmed with an additional test early Saturday.
The player, who was not identified, is asymptomatic and is quarantining while being monitored by team staff.
Saturday’s game against the Montreal Impact is not impacted.
One player expected to be in tonight’s game, Ismael Tajouri-Shradi, is no longer listed in the lineup.
