Beginning Saturday, New York will allow weddings by webcam, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced at his daily press briefing in Albany.

“Video marriage ceremonies,” Cuomo said. “There’s now no excuse when the question comes up for marriage. You can do it by Zoom.”

The measure seeks to make the statewide coronavirus lockdown a bit more tolerable, and romantic, he said.
