A ceremony will be held at Ara Pace, or “Place of Peace,” outside Village Hall, 1400 S. Ravinia Ave., at 11 a.m. May 31. The observance will include a wreath-laying ceremony, addresses by community veterans and a reading of the names of 55 veterans added to the village’s granite memorial wall, according to a village spokeswoman. The event will also be accessible on the village’s YouTube.
Memorial Day observances modified for second year because of COVID-19. Here’s a list of some Chicago-area holiday weekend events.
