There are more than 250,000 coronavirus cases in the U.S., and New York accounts for more than 100,000 of those, along with approximately 3,000 coronavirus-related deaths, governor Andrew Cuomo announced Friday morning. (New York City accounts for more than 52,000 cases and 1,500 deaths.) For reference, New Jersey has registered about 26,000 cases, and both California and Michigan have recorded around 11,000 cases. No other state, as of Friday morning, had recorded more than 10,000 coronavirus cases.
