A Florida man wanted on several arrest warrants tried to deter authorities by taping a shoddy sign to his front door that claimed he had coronavirus, authorities said.

Deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office encountered the message — which read “COVID 19 infected since 4/8/20” — at the home of 28-year-old suspect Joshua Price last Thursday.

Price was picked up for fleeing and eluding law enforcement and violating his probation, authorities said.

Officers used protective gear when arresting Price, but the sheriff’s office said there was “no indication” the suspect had been exposed to the virus.
