Illinois public health officials on Friday reported that 131,882 coronavirus vaccine doses — a new daily record — were administered Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 3,125,425. The number of Illinois residents who have been fully vaccinated reached a total of 1,019,685 — 8% of the state’s population. On Friday, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was administered to residents at Cook County’s COVID-19 vaccination site in Des Plaines.
