Protestors began demonstrating at the houses of Republican senators following Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death Friday to demand they abdicate their constitutional responsibility to consider and possibly confirm President Donald Trump’s replacement pick for the Supreme Court.
Demonstrators first descended on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Kentucky home Saturday screaming “Move Mitch, get out the way!”

According to the New York Post, one arrest was made.
Next, protestors gathered at South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham’s D.C. residence and Sen. Thom Tillis’s home in North Carolina.
Demonstrators in Washington D.C. outside of Graham’s house in the early hours of the morning demanded Graham wake up, carrying signs that read “we can’t sleep so neither should Lindsey.”

Further south in North Carolina, protestors shouted “shame” as Sen. Tillis left the property.

Ginsburg passed away Friday evening at the age of 87 due to complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer, less than two months from the November election. McConnell pledged Friday night that the president would receive a full Senate vote on the new nominee, remaining consistent with the Senate leader’s rule on confirming a Supreme Court nominee in an election year provided the upper chamber and the White House were controlled by the same party.
Trump said during a “Fox & Friends” appearance Monday he plans to nominate a woman to the high bench, with the nomination to come either Friday or Saturday.
“We should wait for the services to be over for Justice Ginsburg,” Trump said, before announcing a nominee.
Three prior justices have been confirmed in less time than there remains until the November contest, including Justices Sandra Day O’Connor, John Paul Stevens, and even Ginsburg.
