According to the California COVID-19 statewide update between Saturday and Sunday, there were 62 fewer hospitalizations due to confirmed COVID-19 and 43 fewer cases in intensive care units.

The number of COVID-19 diagnostic test results in California reached a total of 11,373,305, an increase of 141,476 tests since Saturday. The rate of positive tests over the last 14 days is 5.3 percent.

There were 4,176 new confirmed cases Sunday. Numbers do not represent true day-over-day change as these results include cases from prior to yesterday. The total number of deaths is 12,933, an increase of 28 from Saturday.
