California is expected to reach 100,000 confirmed coronavirus cases Wednesday.

As of Tuesday night, the state’s county health agencies had announced 99,735 total cases and 3,822 total deaths, according to data compiled by this news organization.

According to a map provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California would be the fourth state to cross the 100,000-case barrier, joining New York, New Jersey and Illinois.
