China reports no coronavirus deaths for 10th straight

China has reported no new deaths from the coronavirus for 10 straight days.

A dozen new cases were reported Saturday — 11 brought from overseas and one local transmission in the northeastern province of Heilongjiang on the Russian border, health officials told the Associated Press.

Currently, there are 838 people still hospitalized with COVID-19 in China, widely believed to be the source of the worldwide pandemic.

Another 1000 are in isolation and are being monitored as either suspected cases or having tested positive for the virus while asymptomatic.

China has reported 4,632 deaths among 82,816 cases.
