Student tests positive for COVID-19 on Colorado College

A student at Colorado College has tested positive for COVID-19 and 155 students are being quarantined at Loomis Hall, a dormitory on the campus, as a response.

The student was tested on Friday and a positive test result came back on Saturday, said Leslie Weddell, a college spokeswoman.

In between taking the test and getting the result, the student didn’t follow distancing protocols and had contact with other students, Weddell said.

As a safety precaution, 155 students are being quarantined at Loomis, Weddell said.

Loomis can house 262 students at full capacity, according to the college’s website.
