Twice postponed, first by the coronavirus pandemic and then by recent wildfires, the 43rd annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase is on schedule for a virtual launch on Sept. 5.
The event showcases the work of more than 20 top interior and landscape designers who have transformed 27 spaces in a 1926 Mediterranean-style house. Work on the three-level San Francisco home involves five bedrooms, 5½ baths, a media/entertainment space, reading room, wine cellar and an indoor and outdoor living area.
In years past, the showcase homes were open for tours, but with the pandemic, the in-person visits are being replaced by a walk-through video tour of the house and landscaped spaces, an interactive 3-D self-guided tour, links to designer interviews and more.
The annual event is designed to give people ideas on how they can transform their spaces, and to benefit the San Francisco University High School Financial Aid Program.
Details: Tickets for the virtual tour are $25, and will be available starting Sept. 5; www.DecoratorShowcase.org.
