A retired New York City firefighter wanted for his role in the Capitol riot was arrested after he texted a picture and video of himself at the insurrection to his girlfriend’s brother, who is a special agent with the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service.

Thomas Fee, 53, of Freeport, Long Island, claimed to be “at the tip of the spear” when the rioters breached the Capitol. After he sent texts to the agent, who works for the State Department, the agent reported Fee to the Joint Terrorism Task Force, according to WUSA, a Washington, D.C., station.
