Police took Angela Hall into custody on June 8th for allegedly running over Officer Tony Nieves who was attempting to pull her over on May 30th. Officer Nieves was said to have suffered a broken arm and other injuries from the incident.

However, Hall’s legal troubles don’t end there.
There are also separate charges of both burglary and falsely reporting a stolen vehicle, which all stem from incidents alleged to have transpired on May 30th.
Police say that Hall acted as a getaway driver for looters pilfering from a beauty shop, which authorities say there’s video evidence to support the allegation.
Hall was also said to have struck Officer Nieves while driving a rental car, only to later allegedly abandon the vehicle and tell authorities that the car was stolen from her.

DA Krasner stated the following about the case:
“This individual’s criminal actions are egregious and resulted in serious, possibly permanent injuries to a police officer who was responding to a situation that was already dangerous. My thoughts are with this officer and his loved ones at this time: I hope your recovery will be speedy and complete. This office intends to hold Angela Hall accountable for the severe harm she has caused Officer Nieves.”
Hall is said to have an appearance in court on June 24th for the mentioned charges.
Pennsylvania isn’t the only state still working on crimes committed during the onset of the protests that broke out last month. Investigators in New York are also among those essentially playing catch-up as well.
The NYPD have recently released several videos in relation to protests and demonstrations escalating into violence towards officers present, with instances of groups attacking officers within Brooklyn showcased.
The latest videos were released on June 12th, which are said to showcase incidents that arose during protests that were taking place roughly two-weeks earlier around Saint Marks and Flatbush avenues.
Actions depicted on the video show the likes of people throwing numerous objects at police, with one person shown even throwing a traffic cone.
One image was also released of a man that police say threw a brick at an NYPD officer’s helmet somewhere within the Greenwhich Village area.
The officer said to have been assaulted by the person throwing the brick sustained cuts and swelling to his face.
Police are also trying to locate the looters responsible for robbing the Rebag store on West Broadway, which was said to have occurred on June 1st. An estimated $375,000 worth of merchandise was looted from the Manhattan store location, with the suspects appearing to have fled on foot.
