With haircutters closed indefinitely during the coronavirus pandemic, it appears the street’s the new salon.

A barber set up shop on a Brooklyn sidewalk Sunday, taking advantage of the lovely spring weather to give a man a haircut in broad daylight.

An observer captured the strange scene from a building on the same block as the impromptu street salon on Ocean Parkway, between Brighton Beach and Ocean View avenues in Brighton Beach.

The short clip opens with the nonessential worker brushing hair off his most recent client before dramatically ripping off the man’s white barber cape. The newly trimmed fellow then wanders over to a parked car to examine his reflection in a window as the barber wipes down the chair and changes his gloves. Another customer sits in the chair and the barber puts the same white cape on the second man.

Lacking a formal workspace, the rogue barber appears to keep his tools on an empty adjacent bench as other people mingle nearby.

The person who filmed the video has yet to return The Post’s request for comment.

New York City’s hair salons, barbershops and tattoo parlors have been indefinitely closed by order of Gov. Andrew Cuomo since March 21, deeming them nonessential businesses. The lack of professional haircutting availability has resulted in a trend of home haircut fails done during lockdown, with bored women cutting their own bangs, partners giving each other horrible new ’dos and pet owners proving no replacement for their pooches’ groomers.

As hair salons prepare to reopen in states loosening their lockdown orders, business owners are putting safety precautions into place, including reducing the number of customers allowed in stores at one time and providing workers with face coverings.
