Noah Syndergaard has tested positive for COVID-19, The Post’s Mike Puma reported Sunday.
Syndergaard, who turned 29 on Sunday and is vaccinated, was scratched from making a second appearance with Single-A Brooklyn as part of his rehabilitation assignment from Tommy John surgery.
Syndergaard hasn’t pitched since 2019, having underwent Tommy John surgery during the 2020 spring training.
He suffered a setback with his repaired elbow in May, delaying his return.
