Many Americans, including myself, must look forward to a very uncertain future of either endless confinement, or going out and mingling at great risk to our health.
The COVID-19 virus will likely be with us for some uncertain length of time. Will there be an effective vaccine any time soon? Possibly yes, but more probably the prospect is very uncertain for the foreseeable future.
As a senior citizen, I fall into the high-risk factor category. My hope, even suggestion, is that some innovative entrepreneur is working on developing protective gear for the general public that will allow all persons to be protected when in public places.
This solution would seem far more doable than waiting for the virus to run its course or hoping for an effective vaccine to become available any time soon. I hope this is already being worked on by some inventive person.
