Lawmakers don't think were prepared after coronavirus briefing 1

On Friday membersof the House of Representatives left a coronavirus briefing with Democrats upset that the country is ill prepared to deal with the coming coronavirus public health threat. The republicans were less critical, however stated that more has to be done to combat the spread of the virus.

The Friday morning briefing was off to a rough start as the room was too small with only 50 chairs setup. House members complained so they all moved to a larger room down the hall from the original meeting room.

In the last few days Republicans and Democrats both sounded the alarm over the outbreak and raised questions about how prepared the US government is to fight the outbreak. The Congressional appropriations committee is now working to figure out the details and initial estimate of an emergency funding package to deal with the coronavirus outbreak and the public health threat that now faces the nation.
