What is yet to be determined is how many students at District 214′s six high schools — Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove, Prospect, Hersey, Wheeling and Buffalo Grove — will seek an exemption and request remote learning, which the Illinois State Board of Education is asking that schools provide as an option through the remainder of the current school year. Students can seek a “medical or household exemption,” the district said.
